DATE: 28 FEBRUARY 2005 FIRST DAY IN UNI
Hi guys!!! Wow... our uni days are starting... may it be as bright as the sun and according to plan... although.... mine is not as exactly as I suspected it to be... I got the lamest day ever!!! Well... maybe not as bad... but it's not what I expected it to be... But at least it's a remembrance... :P Anyways... what happened is this: when I went to the orientation day they gave us the vis comm students the "draft" timetable of the classes that we need to attend for the VIZ COMM students... what happen is that I went to my first ever lecture and I went to the Guthrie Theatre... its a theatre situated on the design faculty building but what happen is that even though I met the same person attending the same course as I do it seems that we went to the wrong lecture!!! It was some kind of engineering stuff... (eekkk!!!) and so we went to the wrong lecture.... fortunately we got about 10 mins to discover where our lect is gonna be... so... we made it... and it turned out that the lect is actually a core subject that ALL of the design students need to attend!!! AND there are 300 students in the design course!!!!! How freaky is that??? But the worse part is that there's gonna be this lesson where we would have to present a presentation.... and I have a gut feeling that this is gonna be in front of the whole design students!!!! NNNOOOO!!!! *sigh... we'll just have to see.... I dun even know what's going to happen... as far as I could hope for I really hope it's gonna be okay *hicks... and they say for one of the subject the tutorials won't start until the next 2 weeks... wow... well... we'll just have to see what's gonna happen... and I just found out that for that paticular subject the FACULTY decide which tutorials you're gonna get to... and you know what?? After lining up (with no friends... I got rejected *hicks... just kidding... she has old friends with her... so I went ahead) for about 10 minutes because a heck lot of people wanted to see the tutorials too... I found out that my tutorial's gonna be from 5 pm till 6.30 pm!!! THAT SHUCKS!!! Oh well... and my lecture finished at around 3 pm!!! HOW AM I GONNA SURVIVE?!?!?!? (shucks... guess I'll have to go to the library then...when during my days in Meriden I hardly used the library... :P) Anyways... that's my adventure for today... I won't know what tomorrow's gonna bring... I hope it's gonna be okay... cross your fingers... well... that's the news bulletin for today... my first day at my 'very special' uni... :P What about yours???

oh gee ~~ I just found out that I had more than 17hrs/week as i've told you ... ay ya ya>>> I actually have about 20/21 per week. Dang! I might as well walk into a bar right now & die ( btw, i mean bar as in the "BAR POST" not the bar= pub). Btw, your timetable does suck... I feel for you too ( except this time, --- withouth the HUN) :P
how was first day?!?! well, i went okay... met loads of ppl (most were like chinese who spoke really good english but were still really chinesey....... & the other girls were very erm... lets just say "julia/ sara" style) ~~ gee 2 extremes of the scale and no in- betweens (which is more like my type.. so i'm starting to miss meriden now erk... can't believe i just said that). But anyways, the day was fine i guess. There were 130 ppl in the lecture & i think about 3/4 were male so there u go>>> hmmm... what else ... oh yeah, the first lecture was alright but GGGGEEEEEEEEE... the 2nd lecture (which was like 3 hrs later ) was totally BORRRINNGG. That guy spent exactly 25minutes defining the word BE-GIN. and the word START & another word that i can't remember followed.... good that he stopped soon enough (cuz i think most ppl fell asleep & i did doze off a little --- aha & you know that I don't do that easily in class, so you can probably feel the extent of the impact of the first day of lectures, which the lecturer was mostly to blame.
Anyways, got another lecture tomorrow at 1pm hope it won't be that bad.
Okay, this is getting longer than your entry, so i better STOP.
p.s. uni is horrible with a bunch a strangers moving around you & you feel like a nobody in this big wide world. GEE... i better get used to life in the real world.
