"you can shine no matter what you're made of"

A promising slogan for a big coorporation... but the truth only floats on the surface...

Robots is a very promising 3D animation that I have ever watched. It is entertaining, a good way to reminisce childhood and embrace dreams. This is sort of the classic almost cliched modern adventure that is kinda hard to find with everybody trying to be the most original. It was very nice to have something this hilarious although cliched type of comedy. I mean... it has fabulous casts and I thought the storyline is a bit rags to riches but it was splendidly laid out... although... I thought the whole thing was a bit hurried... maybe that was just me but that was the impression I got when I was watching it... some of the scenes jumped to a quite certain length that they don't flow very well... but nonetheless it was fun to watch...

The title of this blog is really the slogan Bigweld used for his company in the movie. In this movie Rodney Copperbottom was the main protagonist, he basically went to Robot City in pursuit of his dream, to be an inventor. In the city he found out that old outmode robots are being disposed of and Ratchet the new boss of Bigweld Inc is trying to make everyone buy the new upgrade with the (urgh...) bad slogan: "why be you, when you can be new..." Basically robots particularly in Robot City are having a crisis and Rodney is pretty handy with the tools... so he saved the day...

I know that that sounds rather boring but the adventures that Rodney goes through is somewhat a delight to the eyes... not only the plethora of games that we used to play when we were kids but also the amount of 3D detailings that have been used is just tremendous... It just blew me away... something that you really should watch out for is the scene where Rodney just came to the City and accidently met Fender when he was travelling at the err... public transport... it was so fun to watch I can't stop laughing throughout the whole scene ^--^...

Also something that you should really watch out for is the robot that breakdance to the song Right Thurr (is that how you spell it? I don't really care...) HE WAS HILARIOUS!! And also something that you should watch out for is the innocence of the movie... especially in the matter of answering to kids about the question "where do babies come from..." It is just innocently cute and imaginative... hahaha especially the reference to "12 hours of labour" HAHAHA hilarious...

Ok... I realised that I might have said some things a bit too much but I have to assure you that you would not be disappointed with the movie... although I have to say that it is somewhat full of cliches it is definitely a fun family movie that you should watch when you want a light entertainment...

Alrighty that is all for Robots... Oh... just in case you are not interested I thought the cast and crew was famous so I thought of borrowing this movie ^--^ Ewan McGregor, Robin Williams, Greg Kinnear, Mel Brooks, Amanda Bynes (I know that she is not THAT big but I know her don't you?), Halle Berry, Drew Carey and a heck lot more people who did cameos... So just to prove that it is not boring just look at the list of actors...
